When I think of all of the friends that I have, I can’t help but smile extra hard when thinking of Tee. For as long as I’ve known her, T’Aira has been a gentle reminder of the power of being a woman and having a tribe of sisters to keep you company on your journey. Tee’s story of resilience has been truly amazing to watch and I’m so excited to see where life takes her next…like down the aisle in April!!! The beautiful soul you’re about to see is one that I’m blessed to have in my life on a daily. Here’s Tee’s story.
How has grace looked in my life? The most suitable answer is grace is my life. There isn’t a milestone I can recollect that isn’t covered by God’s favor. Let the fact He has allowed me to share my story with you at this very moment serve as part of testimony & demonstrate how great His grace is.
As a little girl, I was an only child surrounded by an atmosphere of drugs, unconventional examples of relationships, loneliness, & stress. But God protected me & used that atmosphere to make me strong, independent, & motivate me to create a better future for myself. I didn’t come from a wealthy background, but God led the path for me to graduate from high school & college with honors & ALL expenses paid, excluding books.
Post-graduation, I felt depressed & worthless because I couldn’t find a job in my field or keep a job longer than three months due to unexpected circumstances. But as God guides me to my purpose, He has blessed me with a full-time job that I’ve maintained for almost three years, values my work ethic, & is preparing to promote me for the third time next month.
As a woman desiring marriage & motherhood, engaging in relationships was never an issue. But having THE ONE find me was challenging. In the process, I ended up hurt, hurting others, compromising myself, & doing some things that I’m sure weren’t pleasing to God. But ultimately, He granted me some of my heart’s greatest desires: my future husband & the hope of a happy, healthy family.
I genuinely my story doesn’t appear as boasting. I have no right & can’t take any credit. All glory goes to God. My life isn’t perfect. It’s been a true rollercoaster. But during the journey, I’ve been kept & covered in grace. I feel the keys to accessing this are quite simple & have been the rope that holds my life together:
1. Believing in God wholeheartedly – Proverbs 3:5-6
2. Having faith – Hebrews 11:1
3. Having a praying, supportive tribe – James 5:16
4. Trying your very best every single day to grow in God & give Him your all- Col. 2:6-7
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”
1 Corinthians 15:10
